Registered Business and Engineer Evidence
Our registered business details identify who provides the service, while the attending engineer’s individual ID card identifies their qualifications for the work.
Legal identity
All Service 4 U Limited is the legal name behind our trading name.
Gas Safe business registration
648977 is our business registration number. It is distinct from an individual engineer’s licence number.
Registered office
North London Business Park, London N11 1GN.
Individual engineer evidence
Check the attending engineer’s name, photograph, licence number and card validity against their current ID card.
Work categories
Check the relevant appliance categories and their validity dates, including any restrictions that affect the booked work.
The business number and individual qualifications answer different questions. The number identifies the business; the engineer’s current categories establish which gas work they are qualified to undertake. A business registration number alone does not establish current status or show that every engineer can work on every appliance.
Qualifications Matched to Your Appliances
The attending engineer’s qualifications must cover every appliance and type of work included in your appointment. Give us the complete landlord-appliance list before suitability is confirmed, including appliances outside the kitchen or boiler cupboard.
Our domestic gas safety check scope includes:
- Boilers and associated flues.
- Cookers, hobs and range cookers.
- Gas fires and associated flues.
- Gas water heaters and associated flues.
A boiler-only check does not cover other landlord-provided gas appliances. Identify tenant-owned appliances separately so ownership and appointment scope are clear. If you also want a boiler service, say so when enquiring: servicing is a separate task, and the relevant qualifications must cover that work too.
Before the Engineer Starts Work
Check the attending engineer’s current Gas Safe ID card before gas work starts.
- Match the photograph and name to the person attending.
- Check the business identity and that the card is valid.
- Check that the relevant work categories are current and cover your appliances.
A website badge does not replace these checks. If the identity or categories do not match, resolve the discrepancy before work begins. The Gas Safe Register is not a public CP12 database. Read how to check a landlord gas safety record and verify an engineer for the full procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a boiler service the same as a gas safety certificate (CP12)?
No. A landlord gas safety check and a boiler service are different activities. The check assesses the landlord’s gas appliances and flues and produces a Landlord Gas Safety Record. A boiler service involves maintenance following the manufacturer’s instructions. Neither should be assumed to satisfy the other.
Can I get the landlord CP12 and the boiler service done in one visit?
Yes, we offer a combined CP12 and boiler service visit, subject to confirming your appliances and suitable engineer categories. The safety check and boiler service remain separate tasks within that appointment. Provide the complete landlord-appliance list when booking, and explicitly request the boiler service alongside the check.
Does a Gas Safe business number cover every engineer and appliance?
No. A business registration number identifies the business, while each engineer has individual qualifications covering particular work categories. Check the attending engineer’s current ID card and relevant category validity dates. The categories must match the appliances and work you have booked, including any boiler service.
